more stampeding

we actually had a really good time at the stampede, we left last night at 11:30, it was clear and beautiful, just a perfect evening and we all agreed that we did the stampede and made some good memories. it was so fun cheering for the chuckwagon races, we played all the un-winable carny games and managed to bring home a few cruddy stuffed animals, we ate the food, and we just felt like it was a real full day of good times. so long stampede, we will see you next year! ya-HOO!

Cute pics! I miss the Stampede...the chaos, the smells, the belt buckles, the mini donuts, the crazy people dressed up like cowboys, but what I especially miss are the rides... the ZIPPER to be exact! Nobody in these here parts of Denver even knows what the "Zipper" is. They are soooooo missing out!! Jeanie L. is living in Utah, she has 6 kids, the oldest is 12, I think, and her husband teaches at BYU!! (I think) :-) From the pics I've seen she looks EXACTLY the same!! Glad ya had fun at the Stampede! Are you guys in town the week of the 23rd or is that your week at the cabin?? I get there that day...let's take the kids and go to the park, the zoo, Callaway Park or something fun if you guys are around!!

We get there the 23rd, go up to the cabin the 28th to the 4th and head back to Denver the 6th. We could aim for the evening of the 4th or the day or eveing of the 5th. I really need to get your email address so we don't have to bless all the bloggers/commenters with my long commentaries :-)

Looks like fun! I think I am going to have to take Audrey to the OC Fair to pet the animals and ride a few rides to make up for missing the Stampede this year. I think after you adventures with my cousin Emily and the kids at the Stampede grounds and running up some random hill to watch the fireworks last year, I needed to sit it out this year. I'll be ready for Stampede 2007.
